Turn Key to Start?

Ok so I put the key in and it didnt crank. Turned it back then cranked it again and it fired right up. Drove away. Then it did the same thing when I go back in again. I didnt have to play with the shifter at all to get it to crank, but I'm thinkin it could be NSS....it starts in P and in N. I donno, seemed odd. It has never done this before.

Could be the ignition switch is going bad, starter relay, or starter solenoid.

that's the same thing that happened to mine, the wife was at grocery store, called and said it was dead and wouldn't do anything. she tried it several times to no avail. as soon as I got there I turned the key and it started right up. when I removed the switch it was burned all around the connector plug.replaced it and now it works fine.

Loose or corroded battery terminals will cause that problem.

That's a good sign your Starter Solenoid is starting to fail.

My subaru is starting to do that again... once in a while you get the nice clunk of the starter solenoid, but no power to the starter motor... with how many miles it has (about a third a million), I'll ignore it unless it really dies.
