turn off antenna motor, but leave antenna up?

hey my motor is being really annoying lately. sometimes the motor stays on even after it pushes the antenna up or down, so I want to figure out how to turn off the motor and leave the antenna up, so that's it's permanently up.

is there a seperate fuse in fusebox for the motor or is there another method?

Mine has it too, except it is now stuck in the down position (thank god,i dont use it anyway and the grinding sound was pissing me off). I think your best bet would be to disconnect the power for the antenna (not the signal wire) just above the passenger side kickpanel. Once it is in the up position and you pull the power, it should have no way to move. (if you pull the signal wire its just gonna go back down).

Pigtail is the plug that the positive/ground wire go into. The motor is located inside of the passenger fender. Basically right behind the "Cherokee" emblem. You have to pull back the splash gaurd in the wheelwell then just look back there and you will see the motor.

Resolved!

Pulled back the splash guard and found the motor. There are three wires. Green, white and greyish. I cut the green one and problem sloved, it was defusing a bomb....
