I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Limited with a 4.0 6 cyl. engine and an AW4 transmission. Just had the computer read and it is throwing 8 codes. Drove the jeep threw some deep water recently and all these issues are now showing up all at once. A/C doesn't blow cold anymore, the transmission has 1st gear only and the engine idles rough (surging, high idle). Any idea if one thing maybe causing all these issues/codes?

Always fix the lowest number trouble codes first. Higher number trouble codes are often caused by the faulty data the lower number code causes.

You mention water, TPS related symptoms, and the lowest numbered code is for the TPS. The TPS hates getting wet and can be ruined by excessive moisture. The TPS also has input to the transmission computer.

P0122 Jeep - Throttle Position Sensor/Accelerator Position Pedal Circuit Low Input

Possible causes

- Faulty throttle position sensor
- Throttle position sensor harness is open or shorted
- Throttle position sensor circuit poor electrical connection

Replacing the TPS with a genuine Jeep part should cure the problem and solve most or all of the higher numbered trouble codes. Cheap crappy "Lifetime Warranty" parts are often out of specification or even failed right out of the box. Many times they have a short service life before they fail. Always buy top quality replacement parts and genuine Jeep sensors.
