Thinking of getting a trans cooler. What brand and size do you run?

I have a flex-a-lite 18000 cfm or whatever those 3 letters are/mean.

They are all pretty much the same really. It's hard to find a crappy tranny cooler.

Ive also read about people getting ones off larger trucks at the JY and running those (if you are really cheap).

Hayden Imperial from Advanced. I bought the biggest one that they had in stock. I think I paid around $70 for it plus another $20 for barbed fittings, hose clamps, and extra transmission fluid.

Better than no cooler at all The only way to really gauge it is to have a temp reading on the trans. Then you'd know how hot it really is running.

would there be any adverse effects of painting it black to blend in? I don't like how it sticks out like a sore thumb behind the grill..
