Transmission coolant hose... How to replace??

the rubber section on one of my transmission cooler lines has a cut in it, so i need to replace it. my question is how do i remove this section of rubber hose? one side is the quick connect fitting which i have the tool for, but the other side looks like it is just clamped around the hard line? how do i remove/reinstall this fitting? any help is appreciated...

Thats a crimp fitting . You can't remove/reinsall but if you cut it off along with the crimp on the disconnect you can use a couple of screw type hose clamps to hold the new hose .

Yeah that would work but eventually those crimps are gonna start to leak (common problem) most guys cut them off both lines and use clamps . Do a search on tranny cooler lines and you'll find what i mean .
