Things I made for the XJ

Hi all

This is a built thread of some sort, here are a couple of pics of stuff I made recently. The plan for the XJ is 2 inch lift with trimming, 33 inch mud tire, TJ rear flares all around, front Aussie, WJ LCA, OBA, and skidplate.

The pics now

That gas tank skid looks awesome.. One suggestion I will make it to maybe add a piece to each side of it to strengthen it, to further box it in.

Re-centering front axle

Hi all

My axle was off by about 3/8, and I had to redrill the axle to re-center. However 3/8 was very near the existing hole, so I made a plate to reinforce the new hole.

The 2 holes. Lower right is the new one. Too close for comfort

The idea in cardboard

Now in 3/16th plate

A little trick for those with small shops, I have a big magnet on my pressdrill, so the shaving stay on it (most of them anyway)

The bracket installed. The head of the upper right bolt is inside the diff pocket, and it will clear the trackbar.

And with paint. Tomorrow I'll get a new bolt, and work on the front shock spacer
