Sway Bar End Links

I just bought a Jeep Cherokee. The driver side sway bar end link is not bolted on. It is actually hanging by the bottom bolt. Since the Jeep will only be used for a mud vehicle, do I need the end links attached?

Not so much at speeds under 40mph.

Know your jeep and drive her like you understand her.
