What year is it? On my 94 their is a way to turn the key in a certain way and you get the check engine light to blink a code that tells you what is wrong. I have also heard of autozone or somewhere similar having a scan tool to get the codes.

it will flast a series of times, like flash-flash-flash....then it'll wait like 3 seconds, then flash-flash....then wait 3 seconds......the flash-flash-flash-flash. that would be 324.

look online to find what it is...not that you have a DTC of 324...that would be weird

I'm hopefully not trying to pirate a thread but I think I speak for some of us when I say can we have the different ways to do this on different systems.

I've tryed the key thing on my 99 and it doesn't work and I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong

you have an obd2 system, you'll need a scanner...that's all, no switches or throttle...high beams or nothing...scanner, that's all

as for the other guy, it will be 3 digits, and the pause is 1.5 seconds between flash to flash, and a 3 second wait between numbers. one set of flashes is the first number, after the 2-3 second wait is the second number, and then another 2-3 second wait for the third.

about this much time between flashes....hits head
about this much time betwen numbers.....drool hits ground.
