Stock XJ, First offroading 'adventure' *pics*

Well I finally took my xj out for a little offroading. First I'd like to say my suspension is completely stock, and running on Uniroyal Laredo highway tires. All it did was amaze me on this one hill on the trail. The rest was very easy offroading.

A little flex, front swaybar is not disco'd

Rear swaybar went bye bye last week.

This is where the local kids drink

Kinda steep for a saggin stocker (doesnt look as steep as it really is)

Oh jeese, first time swimmin!

Ok, this hill is MUCH steeper than it looks in the pics, and an accomplishment for my jeep.

If my jeep can do this stock. I cant wait till i put together my 3" lift and 31x11.5 Kumhos !

Looks good, nice jeep

The funny thing about offroading though is that the way those hills look in the pics is more the way you will look at them later after a little more 4x4ing.

goes to show that when people say how 'capable xj's are stock', and that folks should 'wheel them stock for awhile before lifting'..... those people were right.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but that really isnt ****. Your XJ can do more than that stock, you didn't even need 4wd for that.

I'm in holden, central ma. I don't know any good spots around here (I did that this morning and I have to work tonight)

that hill was a good 50ft climb real quick though. Like I said, that picture makes the hill look very flat. Maybe ill get a pic from the top down, that is a much better angle to show steepness

its hard to find spots aroudn there to wheel that are legal. i know a lot of people go to devils peak out in warren and palmer..its around there. im not sure where it is exactly. i used to wheel in well state park on the powerlines off of rt49. powerlines are usually pretty fun there are rocks, mud, water, beaver dams. i think there are old prison camps around holden. that used to be great wheeling but were shut down because bird watchers said jeep and dirtbikes were disturbing. im willing to bet people still go there.
