still stalling/130k maint ?

ok,so last night it stalled out/died at aroung 30mph.no stuttering,just up and died.but i did keep the power though.wierd.anyway,im at a loss of what it could be.im thinking fuel pump,cps or tps.not reaaly sure though.really pissing me off.it does not stutter when it dies.just cuts out.so if any one as some input on what it could be,please fell free to let me know.i did change the fuel filter at 89k.im gonna sell this ***** if i cant figure it out.

somebody has to have some sorta input.how about how i change the fuel pump?

Sounds like what mine did when the coil went out. If the idle got below 1500 it died. It threw no codes at all, does yours? Coils are relatively cheap.

If the pump primes up when the ign is turned on, and you have about 39-43 PSI at the fuel rail it wouldn't be the pump.

Does it do it at any particular temp range?? or driving condition??

Not very many ways the 4.0 will just up and quit on you then start right back up again. I think you're on the right track, it's ethier fuel related or ignition.

Id start by replacing the CPS, just get a junk yard replacement...... I think you can get them new for $45 or so....... if that doesn't fix it maybe it's afuel pump....but normally when they go bad they GO BAD...no more worky.....or will spit ans sputter for a long time........

If you can catch it in the act, that's the way to go.......carry a fuel pressure gauge with you and an inductive timing light. Next time it happend test the fuel rail and ignition.......
