You don't have to pull the passenger airbag?

Mine's about the same as the OPs. Do you get decent heat with the switch set to recirculate?

I only get warm-ish heat. It seems like the higher the fan blows, the worse the heat gets?

FrankZ,
Can you expand on the steps you took a bit? I'm getting ready to do swap of heater box due to a/c evap leaking. I've been looking that the thread that completely drops the dash, steering wheel, etc. You picture and posts indicate that is not necessary. Which is great. But what is necessary? |

I know this doesn't "solve" the problem, but if it was me I would want immediate satisfaction, even if it was just temporary. I saw a thread on here about some cheap plug in heaters that seemed to be pretty decent at Harbor Freight for between $5-30. Maybe something to keep you from freezing,

If you're using the heater control valve, make sure the valve itself is opening when you push the climate control to the 'HEAT' setting. Also make sure both hoses leading from the core to the thermostat and water pump are hot.
