Flush heater core with garden hose both ways in turns. Maybe there is a way to flush it with some coolant system flushing fluid. Does your Jeep have heater valve? If it does maybe it doesn't work. Just sell me your Jeep and stop worrying about heater problem, I'll take care of it!

Did you read my reply?
Partially clogged means that it is not 100% clogged. Some coolant is getting through, hence the small amount of heat. Heat is conducted easily by water/coolant so even without any flow through the core both hoses will be hot.

There is steady flow thru the core which my mechanic is telling me means that there is adequate flow for heat.
You may very well be right, we'll try the blend door and see. Forgot to add, I did get some Prestone coolant system flush. I poured one bottle in the resevoir tank since it's filthy, and this weekend I'll take the lower hose off and drain some and add the next bottle to the system itself. Figure I'll run it for a few days and then try "flushing" it with the garden hose again, provided the garden hose isn't frozen solid...

I had a broken blend door and my air would only come out the defroster vents. The blend door you have broken is probably the one that blends cold outside air with warm air that flows past the core. Really you need to just bite the bullet and remove the heater box. That is also the only way you will be able to replace the blend door. Some blend doors are attached to the heater box cover and some are attached to the box. I've had to do this twice, once for a leaking heater core, which I replaced the cover and the broken blend door, and once for a leaking AC evaporator core. Not fun and took a full day but I have heat!!!!! I bought a haynes manual from AZ and thats all I needed to do the job. Be patient and don't drink beer while taering it apart. Once you get the heater box out and see what parts need to be replaced you can visit a junkyard or visit a dealer based on your budget. Also take into account you will have to open up your AC system to remove the heater box so be prepared to get you AC system refilled, prefereably by a professional.
Best advice and good luck.

The heater treater kit prevents you from having to tear the dash apart, as you cut into the box.
I will sell this thing at a loss before I remove the dash.

That goo that lines the inside of the tubing in the heater core acts like an insulator. It's not letting any heat radiate out of the core, but yet hot water continues to flow through from the "in" side to the "out" side. No matter what position the blend door is in, there should be air flowing somewhere.

I'm getting air, cold air, out of the vents. THe blend door is open on the cold side only, and will not go the other direction for warm.

Yup, the motor itself works fine, but when the motor is up under the dash screwed in place, it literally bends out of it's bracket because it's stressed so bad. The axle is cracked all the way around. In place, the motor will not turn. Holding it in your hand, it turns just fine.

C'Mon, Ill take a cheap jeep to tear apart the dash and make the heat work. In my opinion, get the jeep in a warm shop, grab a 12 pack, a pack of smokes(if you smoke), and a toolbox. Go to town and get the dash apart, fix it, and save the trouble of selling, transferring, loosing a good jeep and gain the pride of fixing a B!tch of a problem. Id love to come help if your in Columbus, Ohio area anytime....

I simply can't afford to evacuate, remove, and reinstall the AC system.
