spare keys??

I had a spare key made it will strat the jeep but then it shuts off do I have buy some $100 jeep key

if your original key is gray in colour, you have the Sentry Key security system. you will need to buy a replacement from the dealer (sweet talk someone into programming it for free. it only takes five minutes.) the key should run around $35.

oh! how many times did you try to start your jeep? if you try three times or more with a bad key, the computer will shut down and you will have to have your rig towed in to have the computer reset.

go to a quality lock smith, he can sell you a key for less than dealer wants, just just put the key into a machine that tell them what resistance or transponder is compatibul, with you jeep and then cut the key,

Jeep is going to take the long way around the problem, and get you a key aready cut for your jeep, I haven't bought one for a jeep but a gm key is 15 bucks

I only got one key with my '01 Cherokee Sport and it's grey. I guess the copy I had made at the local hardware store is a door only key.
