should we adjust the cherokee of the month guidelines...

not too many stockers left. And it is getting harder and harder for a 3" lift with 31's to compete with the modifieds that are running 33' and 35's with gobs of suspension. Maybe we can raise the stockers to 3.5 inches and below and no higher than a 32" tire. Then leave the modifieds with 4" and above and 33" and higher on the tire. Or maybe put in another category for slightly modded. Any other opinions?

jnkyrdg04 makes a good point. This month there's only what, one Jeep entered in the stocker class? Granted it's no POS, but there's no real competition to give that XJ a sense of achievement.

I'm inclined to agree that maybe the catergories should be Stocker, Modified, and Super Modified or something lke that.

it has been several months since those posts.....

i am just saying that there is a big difference between a 3 inch lift with 31's and a 5.5" with 33's. What gave me an idea was going to the 4WD Hardware Jamboree. Saw several xj's with 31's on them. Then there was 2-3 with 33's and above and on with like 38.5"s and i believe dana 60's front and rear.

Now who do you think has a better built rig? The one with 38.5's and the Dana 60's or the one with a 3" lift and 31's? It was the sick XJ with the humongous tires that was awing everyone. I was just trying to get the mediocre guys in on the picture. There is not a big difference between a 2" BB and a 3" lift. But there is a big difference between 3" and 5.5". I mean just figure all the extra stuff you need on a 5.5" than what you need on a 3". You definatly need a SYE with a 5.5". They usually run different gears and bigger rears and fronts. They usually have some excellent and skillful fender trimming. Etc....
