Registered User Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: wilkes-barre Pa. Posts: 1,117 | I can hear my fan in the car with the windows closed, it just started getting a little warm here, but not warm enough for the AC, so I noticed on saturday, while standing in traffic, how noisy the fan is, I wouldn't worry about it... |

Registered User Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Right about in the middle Posts: 759 | The stock one on my '01 is very loud. Almost sounds like a leaf blower or something. Who knows....if I could figure out some way to attach a bag and a blade to it, I could use it for all of my lawn care needs! I think it is just the "nature of the beast". __________________ '01 XJ Sport: 4.0, AW4, D35/8.25, Eccos/225 Revo A/T's '94 XJ Sport: (son's), 4.0, AW4, D35/8.25, 2" Tera, Grizzlys/30" Revo A/T's '02 TJ Sport: (sold), 4.0, 32rh auto., D35/8.25, 3.73, Bajas/33" BFG M/T's, 4" Tera, Warn, many mods. |

Registered User | I bought my XJ a year ago, and noticed the loud fan noise only when the A/C or defog is on. Took it back to the dealer, and they said it was normal. Drives me nuts. I roll the windows down whenever possible to let the wind cool my shaven head. |

I like it. And the trunk is the boot. And if you consider the XJ a wagon, it would be an estate over there. | |
