search "death wobble". You will get about 104868493 threads on it. There is no sure fire answer. You have to find what is loose up front. Could be bushings, loose bolts, bent/broken/lose trac bar/tie rod/control arms.....You get the idea.

Well I randomly selected 2000 as the year for your Cherokee since you did'nt bother to tell us. There is a TSB for that 02-003-03 AUG 03 Steering/Suspension - Shimmy After Hitting a Bump you might want to look into.

uhh, it's probably not death wobble, it's probably bump steer. Check your tie rod ends and your steering stabilizer. I had this a month ago and put on an OME stabilizer from Jeepinoutfitters.com and it works fine now.

Had this happen to my XJ a while ago before the lift and definitely not DW but very annoying. Make sure the tires are balanced first. I had one tire out of wack and after getting it balanced never happened again. If that doesnt fix it then I would start checking all of the other parts people posted.

It helps to have someone turn the front wheel while you inspect front end parts for movement. It's always a good idea to have the tires balanced and get a front end alignment. Unfortunately, there's not one thing that causes it, so it's more of a trouble shooting thing.
