Asked another way

Ok, I just want clarity.

I have xj limited powered seats - heated...
I have wj limited powered seats - heated...

I bolt the wj seats to the xj base... For example

1. Will the power work the same as if it's installed in a wj?
I believe these seats are either 8 way or 10.
Forward, back, up, down, lumbar ect ect ect
2. Will I have to splice the heater connector or are they universal?
3. What troubles have others run into with the install?

I am tall, but, with the power I can adjust that... I know it adds height...

Any other issues?

Sry for the constant questions... I just want to be prepared.

Thanks,
John

You would need to compare wire diagrams to see what wires do what and match the plugs

I found the wire diagram for the year model grand cherokee that I got my seats out of which if I'm not mistaken has the seat control module box mounted under the seat so I just ran a fused 12v power wire to the seat control module box. Will see if I can get phone under seat to take pic and post if possible.

Does anyone have the wiring schematics for 00/01 WJ and 01 Cherokee? I have WJ Limited front seats and need to wire it to my XJ wires. I have both sides of the plug from different WJ's (basically the seat plug and the floor plug). Since the XJ has like 14 wires and the WJ has I think 6 I need to know which wire I can disable and which colored wire goes to which different colored wire.

My XJ is a Limted, so, it has all the bells and whistles including heated seats and is the non-smoking version. Airbags in front which I dont know if they get disabled when someone is sitting in the front seat(s) -- don't want them going off while driving OR not going off at all if needed.. I also would not want to come out to a dead battery because I hooked up my seats wrong and it drained it down to 0%.

The pictues are from both my WJ and XJ seat plugs from where the harness would be on the floor.

Thanks for the advice on swapping the rails, they bolted right on to the bottom of the WJ seat from the XJ (starting with passenger side).

Also, since the WJ seats dont come with built in seat buckle receiver, how did everyone counter this without having to drill holes into the floor?
