It's another Tire Thread!!!

So I'm looking at doing my lift this summer, 4.5" Rusty's full spring pack. Looking to run 32-33" tires on Cragar 352 mock-beadlock wheels. My XJ will be a daily driver (as I'm in school, it's my only vehicle) and weekend wheeler.

I'm on a budget, I'd love to get the Goodyear MT/R's for my purpose, but they're so damn expensive. So I'm lookin' for a little advice. So far I've looked at BFG AT T/A KO's, Duelers, BFG KM's. . .

Any recommendations? I'd like to get a decent tire for the road, with some performance off road, and not kill my budget doing so. I'm also not at all a fan of retreads, if that helps.

BFG AT if money is really that tight. I ran those one one my XJ for about three years. Excellent wear, they'll last a long time.

But it might be worth it to spend the extra $35 or so dollars per tire and get the MT/R. Awesome tire.

It depends on what type of terrain... IMO, tires one of thoes items where you try a different one each time to find which one works for you best. I've ran bfg mt's and now currently run kumho mt's. the kumho's have performed just as good if not better than the bfg's. so i will recommend kumho because $105 for a 32inch tire is a sweet buy

I'm putting on some 30x950x15 Dunlop Mud Rovers tomorrow. From things I've read on here they perform well and have a long road-life too. They were the cheapest decent tire in that size when I was looking. I got them for $70/ea, but I also get them through my shop.

I love my Dunlop Mud Rovers. There pretty good on the street and great in the snow and mud. I have about 25K on them now and there only about half worn. The only down fall they may have over pricier tires is the noise level. But i like the fact that in the summer i'll roll up on some a$$ driving and talking on there cell phone and they have to stop there conversation to roll up there window.

I really like my MTR's and they are great on road. In mud they fill up fast but they do alright. I am going to try my luck with Super Swamper TSL Radials when I get new tires.

I used to run BFG mud terrains on my truck, I loved them. They make a great tire for off road/daily drive.
