in order to combine the stop, tail AND turn functions into one light per side, you need a trailer wiring harness and brain box, which is usually just a sealed box with the correct wiring done, and diodes to prevent backfeed.
It actually just be easier to keep it with the stock setup, run red and amber lights in the boxes, then figure out what to do for reverse lights

Your jeep has running light combined with brake lights and turn is separated into the amber lens. To rewire brake turn and running light in the same red housing you need a trailer light adapter that interrupts brake light circuit so that it will blink.

Here is an adapter-converter.http://www.nextag.com/Wesbar-ELECTRONIC-TAIL-LAMP-527615556/prices-html?nxtg=e4110a1c0520-7A4900313B7E9301
Not sure that I would get it from there search for tail light converter you don't need on that includes a isolation circuit. BTW most wall mart and auto part places should have one. Good luck and post picks once you GIT 'ER DONE! Chris

no, you need one, period. It installs behind where the spare tire is mounted. You need to run wire from the trailer junction box to the new housings though
