There's no way those would work on a newer XJ. I've tried making some for the newer model XJ's, and they aren't as simple as making a box. |

painted black they would look better.
I can imagine using two LED units for the lighting. One red for brake and tail lights, one amber for turn signals. I could stick reverse lights elsewhere. I personally would have used the oval cutouts instead of round. In the size that they make them, you could fit 4 of the 5x2 oval housing ones in there. 2 LED red ones for the tail and brake, 1 led amber for the turn, and one halogen one for the backup light. I'd buy that just cause it look cool.

"CAD design to lay out the part, laser cut the part and computerized forming to fab the part."
I used a tape measure, jigsaw, and my brain for mine and they're a little more elaborate. |

Thanks.
My main reason for making them was I wiped out the passenger side really bad and needed something to cover the damage up. So I built these about a year and a half ago... Testing... |

It ain't just making up some boxes.... but you don't need a laser or a computer to design or cut what you need. All you need is a welder, angle grinder, tape measurer, drill, a brain, and some patience. Yes I made all my cuts with the angle grinder. Mine took one afternoon to make:
