Rusty's rear quarter guards

Anybody have these? I'd like to see some pictures of these on some rigs but I can't find any. Thanks.

Those pictures don't work, but that write up seems like there is just a lot more to it than just cutting. The main reason I am getting the guards is to stop my rear bumper/gas tank area from packing up with mud and to add more support, not take some away.

It's not for everybody.

I have been looking at some lower 1/4 panel protection as well. I too have been looking into Rusty's, but Rock Lizard Fab has some too. The are thicker and come with hardware. Rusty's does not.

Yeah I looked into those, last time I talked to him he said they were on sale for 74$.

The Rusty's are supposed to be pop rivited on. The main reason I am interested in pictures is that I am not sure if they cover the actual quarter panel like the rocklizard's or if they are meant to connect from the hitch to the lower edge of the quarter panel?

Kind of confusing without pictures...

the RLF guards wrap under just like rusty's do....they are basically the same thing except that RLF goes a little higher and comes with mounting hardware and is countersunk. I would go with RLF (...and I did)

I know that the rocklizard guards wrap under a tiny bit (as shown below), What I am confused about is the way that the rustys guards work. My understanding is that the majority of the skid/guard is underneath, connecting from the quarter to the hitch mount area, and just the little lip is showing on the side, is that correct?

If you're just mudding it really doesn't matter. The quarter panel guard will hold up fine if you're just packing in mud. It doesn't take support away if you do the cut in fold method, it just reduces the amount of unnecessary sheet metal by wrapping it under the body.

Well I don't do just mud, and I don't really like the look of cutting the rear quarter off. Just curious as to how these Rusty guards go in. I can't believe nobody is running them, they are only 49$.

no, the rustys guard is mostly on the side with the little lip on the bottom as well. basically the same concept as the RLF guards
