rust prevention with peal and seal.
peal and seal SUCKS!!!!! went on here here today read that it works right after went to lowes and got some went to go use it and it SUCKS!!!!! dont waste you time or money tring it. your better off sanding and replacing the bad floors or patching sealing the seam and undercoat it or bead liner it.

You're wrong. People use it for sound deadening, to keep the road noise down. It might help after you have fixed your floor to slow down rust bc it's waterproof, but it deafinatly will not help anything if your floor is rusted allready. It needs a clean surface to bond to, and it has to be warm out to put it on. If your looking for rust prevention check out a product called ZeroRust, or por15.

I could be wrong but the only way to prevent rust is to tackle it like grinding it down to bare metal, patching in new metal if it needs it, then coating with product like por15. I believe you put peal and seal over all this then paint over all this with a bed liner or what ever the product you desire. This seals everything up, keeps road noise out of your cabin, and prevents future rusting issues if done properly.
One thing that worried me about products like this if it is not done properly it has the chance to capture moisture to the metal and speed up the rust process Last edited by Barnfind; 02-10-2010 at 09:10 PM.. |

Yeah, just like everything else, it's all about prep-work. You cant just put something on and expect it to last.
