Looking for feedback on this steering before I buy...
http://www.omix-ada.com/productInfo.asp?itemNo=18050.82

Looks like a good kit for the price,I wonder what thickness those tubes are??
Anyone have it on their xj?

for those that are interested,
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just got off the phone with Lance at tellico.
At first he tried to talk me out of it saying that it is made in china(I said hopefully they didn't use lead based paint ) and sell me a more expensive kit, sales commission????
I asked him what size tube was used and he tild me that omixada doesn't give him info like that on most of it's products.....

He did tell me that the tre's are stock grand cherokee.....
I think I'll pass....I can make a kick *** setup for $150.00

No thanks

If you want a bolt on inverted T go with...

http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/...tegory_Code=S6

Does take a little bit of work because it does have 1 Ton joints

but looks way lots better then that rugged stuff

yep I've had my eye on jcr's one ton setup for a while now.....but it's twice as much as the rugged ridge(I know,I know, you get what you pay for)

From Quadratec:

These Tie Rod Assemblies provide virtually 1-ton strength with factory tapered ends, so no modification is required! The tube is 1.25” OD SAE steel with .25” wall thickness that is cold rolled, pierced and drawn through dies. This bolt-on tie rod and drag link solution is perfect for preventing bent tie rods from off roading with larger tires. All rod ends come complete with dust shields, castle nuts, cotter pins, 2 jamb nuts and zerk fittings.

I started searching for info on this setup and the general concensus is this:

Anything is better than stock.

I like the idea of not reaming out my knuckle. This setup uses the ZJ style/thickness TREs and that means that it will also bolt right on to the stock XJ knuckles.

If I hadn't just dropped $65 on a TnT tie rod, I would consider running this setup.
