Yea it sucks...the major PITA was dealing with all the rust because if it wasn't for that I probably could of have this done in a day in a half probably. We installed a 3" Full Traction lift on my friends yellow Rubicon (pictured in my other thread) in one day...yea it doesn't have leaf packs but still it was a quick install for us.

hey when u go to remove your tcase for the sye if thats how you are gonna do it, make sure u get a short/stubby 9/16 wrench and it will make things go way easier.

also looks very good, man seeing these pics makes me wish i could through mine on right now.

It's HOT for those who don't realise how practical that thing is.

I got the exact same but 2dr. and stock
Not for long though,things will change when the money flows in early spring.

8i believe when i took out my tcase it was 9/16 wrench but anyway u want a stubby one or a half moon one

Is it necessary to remove your TC to install a SYE? I sure hope not, as it sounds like that'd add a lot of work to the process.

no its not necessary to remove it you can do it on the vehicle....

No, not at all. I've a number of SYE's, and never once pulled the t'case to install one. Here are write-ups on the SYE installs I did on our own Jeeps.
