Rubbing noise?

So for the past few weeks my XJ has been making a rubbing noise when I turn the wheel left. Almost sounds like it's a wheel bearing but it's not. I checked. Any ideas what it could be?

No. It's not like a whine your PS would make. It's a rubbing like a shot wheel bearing but I can't pin point what it is. Tires are new so its not that and it's not loud enough to be a cv joint.

I have never herd of a bearing making a RUBBING noise, I have heard of squealing and grinding.......

Are you sure its a "rubbing" noise?

Does it happen when you turn both directions?

Does the noise speed up and slow down with speed?

It's kinda like a grind I guess. And no it's only when I then left and usually only over 35mph

My cherokee periodically has a small binding sound when making very low speed lefts.... but I've looked under and can't find anything binding... I may steal the feedback people leave for you.

Not sure if this would help because mine is newer. I have a 2007 and have a rubbing sound on right side when I have the wheel turned all the way to the left at full lock out. I inspected it and found that the tire is rubbing on the sway bar. No idea what would cause it but have a appointment next friday to have it looked at
