Rough start - rough idle

2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport - 4x4

I've got two things going on:

1. When the engine is cold (not cold outside, just a cold engine) it starts kind of rough, but then runs smooth: I use fuel injector cleaner with every oil change and replaced the 02 sensor last month. It seems like maybe it doesn't have quite enough gas or something is dirty. It always starts on the first try. It turns over 2 or 3 times before it starts.

2. When the fan kicks on, it seems to cause everything to strain, and causes my dash and everything to rumble. It just started a couple of months ago and doesn't happen all of the time. I really just notice it at stoplights. While it's rumbling, it sounds like an air compressor is running, too. At least, that's what it reminds me of.

Any ideas?
Are they related?

Thanks in advance!

Sorry, newbie here. What's seafoam? I guess I can search for it.

I replaced the spark plugs last year.

seafoam is a white can of engine cleaner that you can put in numerous places to clean the engine

There is no fuel filter on a 2000 XJ.

I have a 99 Grand Cherokee Limited with V8 4.7 engine. When I start it up the idle shoots way up up, then down, then way up. once its a little warm it runs perfectly fine. Any ideas?

I tried Seafoam this past weekend. I can tell that it's idling smoother and it starts easier. Seafoam DOES work! I put the rest in my gas tank. We'll see if that helps, too.

I noticed that I only got a few seconds of white smoke. Does that mean it wasn't very built up/dirty? I was wondering if maybe I put the Seafoam in too slow, also. It probably took 10 minutes. I put it in through the brake booster. Any ideas? My brother put it in his Chevy ZR2 in just a minute or two, of course his air line was bigger.

Thanks for the input!
