Rocklizard BB install pics

Spacers and new shocks in the front. Leafs are in and all is bolted up in the back except for shocks.... that's the next task. I am happy with the way it looks except I want bigger tars!

Enjoy the pics.....

Before (driveway slopes too)

After (same place, I believe back sits higher but should settle over time)

Awesome, man! Nice big difference in the rear. Hard to tell in the front (bad lighting I think), but it is taller. What do you think of the ride? Are you going to replace the spacers with some different coils in the future? Don't forget an alignment.

Front is nice, back is bouncy til I get the shocks done! I hate XJ shock mounts!

I hope to do coils eventually.... I used the 1.5" spacer (and I got BPEs for front and rear from Dirk at DPG ) and removed the stock rubber spacers because I was worried about front height. (That was his suggestion.) With the front done the handling was much better and made the back really I wanted OME but my student budget did not allow them

More news at 6

Travis

BTW.... the 8.25" is a heavy axle don't ask!

Thanks!

The ride is much better too! I put about 15 miles on it running around town and it does not bounce like before. My wife noticed the firmer ride and did not get tossed around on our crappy streets. If the Monroe shocks worked so well, what would OME done for the ride?

I think there is a slight vibration from the lift (used my upper spring on the vehicle with the leafs and 1/2" steel factory spacer from the 2k1 pack I picked up used) I have a weekly 3 hour drive that starts soon so I will update on roadtrip ride later.

Well, technically, all Joe Blow can do is set your toe, which is good at "0". Can't do anything with camber. Caster is set with your control arms, and if they are not adjustable, all you can do is a slight bit of adjustment with the LCA mount at the frame, but that is not included in the standard alignment. Caster is best at 5-7*, closer to 7 the better, but as I said, without adjustable arms, you can't fine tune that too well. Be sure to get a printout. If they tell you they don't give them out or don't do that, they are full of it and go somewhere else. Having your before/after alignment spec sheet can come in very handy later down the road if you start having issues like death wobble, steering, steer direction, pull, etc. Oh, and the alignment also sets your steering wheel straight when sitting at 0.
