replacing stock antenna

im looking into using a stubby antenna purely for aesthetic purposes...

will doing so result in a degraded signal of any kind?

what are you using?

I purchased a stubby from a parts discounter for my trail rig. A tree branch took it out. I went back to the OEM SS whip and it has not failed me.
