THAT is clean as **** right there. Want to come and do mine? I dinged mine up pretty good last time, so I think it's time to hack it off.

I actually meant to quote the last two pics, but just got that one by mistake. Either way that's better than I could do and I would LOVE to have it done to mine.

So, you just chopped it off and then capped it with a piece of metal? Sounds easy enough and looks decent.

well not so much, its all tied in underneath to make the whole back corner stronger than it ever was, but essentially, yeah cut the crappy tinfoil jeep called sheetmetal out, and get something heavy and weld it in there, its very difficult to weld the factory 20 guage steel to 3/16s haha

I bet you wish you had some sort of jig to just roll that entire thing around the garage. Know a buddy of mine has one for VW busses at one point, you could flip the entire van with one person, lock it in place, and work comfortably.

Im the guy who makes new gauges, check out our gallery at Teamadw.com

Amazing. This has been going for so long I forget how it started. Where do you draw the line. You have to stop at some point, right? How much more do you plan on doing?

those are some mint wields... what I keep wondering is how much is your XJ going to weigh when you are done? Are there tires that can handle the weight of a tank? Or are you planning some kind of Caterpillar tracks system for it?

THERE IS ALWAYS A WAY, IF YOU ARE WILLING TO JUST FIND IT

I'm planning on matrax

the way I see it, all said and done, with full skids / bumpers/ new floors. it should be in the tune of 400 over stock.

thats just a guess, im going to get it on the grain scale when its finished to compare to the title weight.
