This is pretty sweet, just taking on a project this big is really something but you'v done such a good job with it that it makes me think maybe I could do something like this with mine. The Michigan rust has eaten it up pretty good, I would need to do about the same thing that you have done here, possibly a little more but I only have an old stick welder booo, and my drive train is alright but it has close too 200,000 miles on it. Anyway Great Job !!!

a stick welder is gonna blow holes right thru the factory sheetmetal, I've got that nice stick welder to the right in the welder picture, it sucks for light sheetmetal.

look into a hobart handler for sheetmetal work, they are really nice for light duty stuff.
The only reason I bought a nice millermatic 180 is becauseI weld roll cages and frames and stuff aswell as floor pans. Other vehicles other projects.

nope, if you want to come spent a weekend up here sometime, we can take care of those rockers for you. Tho honestly, my opinion, sell your sliders, cut the rockers out and do boat sides. I'm doing boat sides after winter I think, even tho my rockers are mint on the outside, the inside of the rockers infront of both back wheels need help .

this shows the driverside under the seat floor.

on the unitframe rail there is 3/16th welded directly to it. past that where its just floor area its 14 ga everything connecting to the rocker area and going over the spring mount will all be 3/16th

(pics are in order at bottom rehosted on jf)

A quick glance at how its happening on the other side, you'll see I plated the rocker area with 3/16th to give me something to weld to.

the gas tank side of the floor, I still have to cut it for the hose to go thru and mount in the guard for that. I also need to weld it to the body tin on both sides still. One piece to the puzzle at a time tho
