Repair procedure for door protector trim

The black plastic molding strip on my driver side door (parking lot ding protector?) is beginning to seperate from the door and it's only a matter of time until it falls off. What kind of glue is used to attach the molding? I assume you can just pull it off, clean the mating surfaces, and reaply glue again to fix it.

Thanks!

Well, I suppose I have to remove it either way. I could leave it off for a few days and see if I get used to it.

Thanks!

Gorilla Glue all the way... if you want to put it back on. It is very very very strong (did I mention how tough this stuff is) glue (they claim it's the strongest glue on the Planet Earth)

I'm going to be putting diamond plate all along the bottoms of mine. It looks sick.
