Renix negative battery cable

I'm looking into replacing my battery cables and ground strap in the next few days, and in all the writeups I can find the negative terminal has 2 wires coming off it. But my renix has just 1, leading to the engine. Is this proper for a renix engine or is there supposed to be a body ground or something as well?

thanks in advance guys

Not sure on the renix, but mine has a ground coming off the main cable that goes directly to the body. Kinda behind the battery on the inner fenderwell. I know this doesn't help your cause just thought maybe if I chimed in someone with a renix would jump in and correct me.

So there is just the one cable coming off the negative? Might not have followed it properly lol

Just went out and looked to be sure. On my 95 there is only one small lead off the main cable, and it goes directly to the inner fender. It's about 4" long. Yours may be a little different though.

Oldmanriver, Being a Renix owner myself, I'd highly recommend taking a look at Kelley's Work in Progress battery cables. (<---click) These are hands down the best aftermarket cables I've seen yet. After install I noticed right off faster cranking time, brighter lights at night, and an overall improvement in engine performance. Well worth a look....
