Removing roof rack and rubber strips on roof
Has anyone removed their factory roof/luggage rack and the 4 rubber strips on the roof of their cherokee? I need to do so because a friend of mine who does body work is going to repaint the top of my cherokee for me because of the cracking/spidering clear coat that is starting to show signs of rust. I told him i would get the rack and strips removed to save him some time. I know it looks simple, but any tips or what to look out for would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

my roof rack had something like 8 allen head bolts holding each rail down. Just undo those and they come right off. don't forget to remove the rubber grommets that are there under the roof rack.
