If you are talking about the short-arm kits neither will ride smooth and they will be close in comparison. The RC long-arm 4.5" kit will ride much closer to stock. The angles of the short-arms is what will give a stiff ride when going up 4.5" on short-arms.

You have to do some drilling, but the RC kit is pretty much a bolt-in kit. You will likely need a slip yoke eliminator for the rear output of your t-case and a cv driveshaft at 4.5", but that wouldn't matter if you went with the short-arms or long-arms. The long-arm kit is a lot more complete than the short-arm kit too. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/r...m-kits-884625/ Here is a lot of good reading on the RC kit.

I would go with the RC kit if it were me. The new 2.2 shocks ride pretty nice and I have rusty's control arms on my TJ with less than a year on them and the bushings are shot and the powder coat is falling off.
