Quick question on tires

I have an 88 XJ currently with a 4 1/2 lift and looking at a set of 35/14.5/15 tires. They are a screaming deal and that's the only reason I'm even considering going that big. You guys think I can squeeze them in without too much cutting or goofing around?

I have run 33/9.50 on it before on and off road and didn't have any major issues but these are bigger both ways lol. IDK the guy only wants $600 with aluminum rims... Tread is like new yet

I prob. Should have diff. bump stops on mine. And I put it in places I shouldnt, but it goes with no problems yet. That is a great price tho. Gearing would be your down fall. I would think no less than 4.56 on 35s.

Id rather be jeeping!

I wouldn't waste my money. It will be undriveable on 35s with 3.55s. If you have a D35 in the rear consider that toast too cause 35s will destroy it.

Just too many 35s in the equation. Need to get some 8.25 or 44 numbers up in there.

The whole state you say?

Why don't you give Ron a call over at French Lake Auto Salvage. He's got a 97+ 29 spline 8.25 from an XJ in 3.55 right now. And if your dead set on the extra 1 spline then leave him your info and he will get a d44 for you

I'm trying to not spend any more ching on this rig if possible cuz i have plans for a new one in the near future. Tires are an issue at this point that's why i'm looking for something decent that i can take to the next dd rig and then be able to play with this one.
