Putting a tranny cooler where no tranny cooler has gone before
on friday i am planning on installing my b&m tranny cooler...thing is the jeep doesn't already have one...i've got the feeling i am missing some vital parts here...the bits and pieces provided look a bit sparse for the job...i am wondering if anyone else has found themselves in this boat before?...what did you need to get that wasn't provided with the kit?...on the aw4 where is the return located if you do not already have a cooler to point it out for you?...the instructions say that it is doable by bypassing the radiator..but for some reason i am skeptical...anyway..here is a pic of the kit's contents i borrowed from jeepin.com...hope you don't mind jason..

That's everything you'll need. Someone on here had some issue with the nipple not seating correctly in the stock tran line input to the rad. Others have not mentioned this issue.
I also have the B&M and plan on trying to get some wrench time this weekend. I'll let you know if I get it done before you.

did you just look at the pics and not actually read my write-up? everything you're asking about is covered in there.

i can't read...
..i do like pictures tho..what can i say...i'm a visual learner..i read both of your articles..the one you posted here and the other that you posted on jeepin.com...actually i've read them through a few times...but i haven't really been able to go outside and stick my head up under my jeep b/c its been raining all week and i've been trying to operate from memory as my haynes manual leaves something to be desired...its no wonder now that i've never seen the return lines b/c i always look or crawl under my jeep from the drivers side...i had nothing else to go on but memory and did not remember ever seeing return lines so i began to sweat that i did not have them...but today..i got down on my hands and knees in the rain and found that i could have quelled my fear and answered my own question if i just would have gone out last night with a flashlight before making this post... ...sometimes the things we do..
