Why is it that general steel suppliers look at me like im retarded when i go to buy DOM? They normally have some around but if i want any significant amount i have to hit up the speed shops in the area.. Anyone else have this problem?

yeah

its because DOM isnt used in general steel application as far as i know. DOM is big in hydraulics and safety related stuff, not so much just general steel construction. someone correct me if im wrong...

my family has run a relatively large steel business for a couple of generations and when i went to my uncle lookin to pick up DOM, he honestly wasnt even sure what i was talking about, i had to convince him to look it up in his supplier's book haha
