Project Redman: 1994 Cherokee Sport Project for a beginner...

I'll start by saying that I have enjoyed reading through this forum that past few hours! I am new to this forum, but not new to forums. I am used to helping people with bows, trail cams, etc. So I am hoping I can get some help on a topic I know very little about! I am not a mechanic and could not even fool anyone into thinking I might be, so you fellas are going to be my saving grace! I'll thank you in advance for any help and advice received.

I own a 1994 Cherokee Sport with roughly 150K miles on it. This is not a vehicle I drive all the time. (I have a 2006 Grand Cherokee for that and we are about to buy a 1993-1996 Grand Cherokee for my wife.) A while back, I decided it was time to start working on what I call "Project Redman". My plans are to lift the Jeep 3" and put 31" tires on it. After that, I am gutting the interior and Rhino lining the inside, adding a light bar, and making a few more minor mods as part of my "Stage 1". The goal is to make it trail worthy for the trails in our area, but maintain its "street integrity" for the time being.

My intial question is this: The suspension on the Jeep is shot right now. My front shocks and struts should have been replaced long ago. The right rear leaf spring is actually flat at this point. If I purchase a life kit such as the Skyjacker 3" Standard with rear leafs from Morris, will I need to purchase anything else to fix the suspension? I know this is probably a dumb question, but hunting is my thing, not Jeeps! I was just unsure if the kits were truly all inclusive if there was more that I needed to order.

Also, I was told a few years ago that I could buy rear leafs off a 1990's ear S-10 and turn those upside down and they would bolt right onto my Jeep adding a couple inches of lift. Is there any validaty in that? Thanks again...
