Hey guys, i dont know if this is the correct forum, if not you can move it where-ever you like.

it started off like this, a beige 1988 jeep cherokee base model. front end damage, and some roof damage.

then i had to do some MAJOR sheetmetal work, and sand the whole thing down, and put some bondo on where it needed. [the wood plank on the hood was covering a hole about the same size...]
here are some pics of that work.

then, i turned this

to this

and the rest

put in a temporary bench seat until i could find some real ones...

the motor was bad, so i fixed her up

the engine is in the process of being completely rebuilt, to hopefully acheive 20-25 mpg.

after the winter, i painted it black, thought it looked cool, but i repainted it white recently. the rest of the pics speak for themselves.
Thanks for looking
Travis

the bench seat was a quick temp fix while i transported it from my fathers house to my mothers house [its back-roads, i only drove it on the street once, and that made my week. 150 bucks and i drove it home 30 miles!]

i found another $100 totalled jeep and stripped it, so its seats went in.

Great job... it's honestly one of the best resto jobs I've seen on an XJ to date.

Good luck with it!

wow, thanks alot!!

yea, its been about 200-250+ the initial 150. and i expect probably 100-200 more in misc. things. i want her to run like new [even though shes got 220,xxxx under the hood...]

changed both diff fluids... all engine fluids, but i dont think im going to change the tranny fluid, ive heard horrible things from guys who change the tranny fluid on vehicles where it had never been done before -with high miles...

again, thanks. that definately makes it all worth while. [that and the -hopefull- step up from 13 to ~20 mpg lol]
