Problems after Jeep was stolen...

Hey guys, first post here so I hope I am doing this correctly.

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country. A week or so ago, it was stolen. Some kids ripped out the ignition, so now it starts with a screw driver. They also stole the radio, and took it joy riding and hit several things.

My main problem is now that the AC/Heater doesn't work anymore unless the ignition is in the accessory mode. (Think thats what it's called, position turned all the way back towards seat) This wouldn't be such a problem, but she overheats - so when I'm in traffic I have to be able to blast the heater.

There are several other problems, such as the power outlet, cigarette lighter, etc not working - but these aren't a huge deal to me, and I assume they are related to my main issue.

Any thoughts on what I can do to remedy this?

thanks

I'd start by installing a new ignition switch and see what happens then. It might all be related to that.

+1

Also is the steering column badly damaged? You may be able to find a new one at a junkyard.

Sorry to hear about your jeep, people like that are the scum of the earth.
