It's usually way cheaper to supply your own water.

Yeah, but if you're carting it around in your trunk you only have to carry one thing, not two.

I am certain that I could figure out a way around that problem.

Why do people stop at 7-11 for whatever when whatever is way cheaper at Walmart?

I usually only carry one or the other. If I do need to add more or refill entirly its usually in an emergecy and I really dont care if my mixture is exactly right. I typically carry water since its cheaper, if it spills it doesnt make as much of a mess, and if I need to drink it I can.

Also, the only times I have overheated are during the summer and there really is no reason for coolant then anyway.

Not sure how many Walmarts or 7-11s are in the UAE, but I can get the premixed in just about any store I go to.

I just picked up 3 gallons of the 50/50 extended life mix for $8.50 at walmart and it had a coupon on it for a mail in rebate. Needed it because I was changing my thermostat and water pump.

All prestone coolants are OAT coolants,AKA-Dexacool,and will gum up your cooling system.

You want true Ethylene Glycol or use the new Chrysler coolant which is a HOAT coolant(Zerex GO5),anytrhing else you will have issues down the road with your cooling system.

A little info to back-up/support that statement (gum up your cooling system) would be appreciated. The Preston jug says "All makes, all models, cars and trucks, add to any color antifreeze". Seems like there would be plenty of lawyers hovering around if Prestone couldn't back-up their claim, or would gum up your cooling system.

Google "Dexacool" and find the big class action lawsuit against GM and all the nasty pics as that is what your adding to your system but GM did not get any $$$ for it.Oh and they did change there wording via the BBB made them as Honeywell could not 100% backup there claim as being a "all makes/models" coolant.

Then google OAT coolants(Prestone "all makes/models") and HOAT coolant and read for yourself.Ford even has a TSB about use of non-HOAT coolants and require the same HOAT coolant as newer Chrysler vehicles.

You apparently have no idea what "true ethylene glycol" actually means.

I have been using Prestone antifreeze in my '88 XJ since since I drained the factory fill in 1990. I still have the original radiator and the cooling system seems to be working just fine. How many more years do I have before everything "gums up?"

Make sure if you fix your own antifreeze/h2o that you are using distilled water not regular tap water.

So which part of their statement did Prestone have to change? If a statement change was required, wouldn't u think Prestone would start with their website? How easy is that? It still says" All makes, All models, add to any color antifreeze".
