for mounting generally most people make the mounting plates stretch back to the hole in the frame past the steering box bolts. You'll need a piece thats a little over a foot long to get that mounting bolt and only be flush with the front of the front cross member.

There's other stuff bolted there... I didn't look to see what it was... is that the steering box stuff you were talking about?

started as a jcr stage III then i added a recessed winch mount and extra protection

Well I dont know how to post pics, but they are in my gallery. It's pretty simple, but I plan to add a stinger and some D-rings later on down the road.
