Parking Brake

How do I tighten my parking brake? Mine is kind of loose & I need to tighten it up. Thanks!

Climb underneath your baby, look above your rear driveshaft and you'll see two cables coming from the rear. Where these cables come together you'll see a bracket. On the rear side of the bracket you'll see a nut (don't remember the size for sure but I think its either 13 or 14 mm). This is your parking brake adjusting nut. Tighten/loosen this nut till you get around 6 clicks out of your parking brake handle.

Also, to adjust individual sides, look on the back of your drum brakes. There should be a rubber plug near the bottom. Pull that off and you will see your star-wheel. Stick a screwdriver in the hole and turn this wheel to adjust the brake.

Proper parking brake adjustment always starts with adjusting the individual wheels FIRST, and THEN the equalizer assembly.
