only broke 1 top shock bolt... now i need to get it out

so all f the shock bolts came out goo, except for one, little bugger was in there good, well i figured ide break at least one... so i wasnt worried when i broke it, but now all said and done.... i need to get it out.

i checked out the FAQ area on the upper shock bolt replacments, but i was thinking more along the line of doing the drill and tap, but i was wondering how this will come out, and/or if i can use a easy-out.

this is my first lift, so this is the first time im running into anything like this, so im not too sure what to do at this point

Grind the broken piece smooth and drill it out.

I would "attempt" to drill it out and use an easy out. I would try a big drill bit and that would weaken the remaining broken piece and either break it up or extract it.

Theres about 3 threads with this info already- but I'll put my 2 cents in- I just cut the holes in the floor- takes maybe 15 minutes to get completely done, and then you know its strong. I put grade 8 5/16 bolts in so I know they'll never break.

We didn't, and everything is holding together fine. I'd have a little more of a warm fuzzy if we would have drilled through and used a nut, but this worked out pretty well.

I drill all 4 of mine out and used a recoil kit which worked out really well.

I went in through the floor on the top and cut open access to it with a dremel. Should have done it hours earlier instead of fighting with it.

I used the meathode shown in the tech sticky, use an impact hammer and drive the old hardware out then fish stainless bolts thru the back side. of coarse I broke all but one of mine so if I were you I would try to fix the one that is broke first and make it the same as the others.
