One Wheel Peel?

My 88 cherokee will "one wheel peel" the right rear everytime i make a right turn when it is wet outside. It does not peel making a left turn, just a right. The light turns green, i go to make the right, and i cannot touch the gas at all or i will redline. It is really annoying. It doesnt have to be downpouring, just wet. I dont know what i could do to help it, so i will ask. Oh i have a D35 without Limited Slip (but you already knew that)

But isnt dumping money into a D35 an oxymoron? All i was wondering is why it would do it so bad. When i had my driveshaft out to do a ujoint, i spun the yoke when the back was in the air, and the right turned faster than the left, and the left was barley turning.

either bald tires or the right tire is low on air

then the only other way is if your giving it to much gas through the turns. unless you have a brake dragging.

When i barlely crack the throttle thru the turn, it will still break traction.

just get an lsd and be done with it. i was considering this for my XJ as well, that got very annoying and I had great tires. i was told on here that the D35 can handle an LSD.

What size are your tires that you are running 40 psi in them? 235 only needs 35 psi, and for soft ride
you could go down to 30 psi. to much could cause your problem, not enough tire on the road, be sure to use a good pressure gauge when checking your tire pressure.

to me it sounds like something is wrong. esp when he said "When i had my driveshaft out to do a ujoint, i spun the yoke when the back was in the air, and the right turned faster than the left, and the left was barley turning." im not sure what could be wrong but it doesnt sound as simple as let your foot off or air down your tires. and in order for brakes to do that it would have to be dragging pretty hard. jack up your vehicle and try to spin the left tire..and see if it spins hard..that would let you know if the brake is dragging.

Same thing happened to on the hills of downtown Seattle the other day.

I was freaking out.

All my tires were at 30 psi, okay tred. I am looking at new tires that offer better wet pavement traction (seattle).

Someone recommended that I put more weight in the back.

Also, my shocks are shot, so any bump or turn, there isn't great force against the road.

I have the same problem; only worse. And just to let you know up front, my stock size tires are all dead on at 35psi.

I can one-wheel peel almost that easy on *dry* assphault. Whenever I'm turning right on a dry road, and I have to get on it a little bit to jump in a hole in traffic, it'll spin. I can also get it to spin making left turns.

Now, you wanna talk about wet roads? Can you say oversteer? Can you say going down the road sideways? With a HUGE grin on your face? And then doing a 180* or even 270* on a busy road with an entirely different look on your face? Haha. I've done it at least 10 times or so. And, before you say I must have had the go pedal mashed to the floor, the majority of the time I get sideways on a wet road, it's by accident.

I've also discovered something else I can do in my XJ, though I've not explored it nearly so much yet. Drifting. I found out a few weeks ago quite by accident, and accompanied by first horror and panic, then shock, then awe, and then excitement, that I can drift through one particular exit ramp. If I enter it doing about 50, suddenly remember I'm on an exit ramp and hit the brakes while simulataneously turning the wheel, she'll rotate, and end up drifting for at least *some* distance. The first time was a mistake, and I've only tried to do it once since then, so I'm not exactly sure what all I can do. But boy I thought I was going to a) flip or b) run over the curb that first time. What a shock when she just glided through the turn and then straightened out.

And yes, both of my back tires could get me a ticket. However, they were both new at some point and I still had traction problems. I need to take a pic of how the tires are now, 'cause they're soooo close to being bald. The right one is *almost* there consistantly. The left one is pretty close only in the middle.

I hit teh NOS when I was at like 100 and my speedo bent around like 3 times, I guess I was going like 300 mph. It felt like I was sitting still, I ran out of road but luckily I was going so fast that I hit a bump and took off. I guess the Supra wing really helped out, luckily I landed in a lake and my wheels were spinning so fastz that I scrambled across it like those crazy scandanavians with their 4x4s that walk on wata. I go off of the lake just in time to hit a dirt field right before my flux capacitor quite.[/quote]
