OME Leaf Spring Orientation

Ok I need some help. I just purchased my 2" OME medium duty leafs (they're going on teraflex 1.5" drop shackles. It's my DD so I figured 3.5" on 31s is modest enough without regearing. Anyways I was in the middle of putting my leafs in when I realized that the leafs have different symbols on them. One has a + and the other a O. My dad (also a Jeep nut) was looking at it and figured there wasn't any difference. He has an old CJ7 with the four leafs up front and back and they all have the same symbols so we weren't sure. I was reading alittle while ago that one is rated for the torque side of the axle? However, I also saw some dudes that said they didn't notice anything at all. I already installed the + side on the driverside so if it's incorrect it's gonna be a bi*ch to get it back off. If it actually is supposed to go on the other side then i'll swap it out but I figured I'd ask before doing anything. let me know

i have heard that some companies account for the torque. and i think the passenger side is the one that gets the most of it, i may be wrong but the + probably should have went on the passenger side, again i have only heard this.

I think i'm good to go anyways, but do you think it would be worth taking it off and putting it back on the passenger side?

There was a thread exactly like this this morning. Here is the 800 number to ARB (who imports the OME product line). When I called they told me the coils are side-specific but not the leaf packs. If you wan to get it from the horse's mouth, call 'em and talk to a tech:

Did the horse know why the springs are marked as they are if the markings are meaningless?

See the other exact same topic thread on this page for an answer.
