NYS Insepction Follow Up
Well I passed. Not that I was surprised. I had posted about a week ago that I had failed due to a laundry list of things from the shop that I knew were inperfect working order. Well a call to the NYS DMV and a sit down with the manager of the shop cured all of that.
I'm also getting a new right side hub out of the deal. One of the reasons they told me it failed was beacause of a bad front right side u-joint which, by the way, has nothing to do with a NYS inspection. Knowing what a ***** it can be to get the hub off I decided to buy the part and let the shop install it for the $100 estimate they gave me. They told me they beat they hub so bad that they were afraid they damaged it and will be putting on a new one at no charge. Not a bad deal!

To make it even better, when I picked it up, they ate the entire cost. I didn't even have to pay the labor for fixing the u-joint.
