I am confused when you say you cannot find a source anywhere ? Any local auto parts store can order what you need, and any nearby clutch and drive line shop, or nearby 4x4 shop should have one in stock. Whatever Jeep Dealership is nearby probably can order one also.

.

A recent Gallup public opinion poll shows the NRA, at 58% approval, has a higher approval rating than either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama.

And no, muskoka auto parts, Northern imports, Napa, Canadian tire andBracebridge Chrysler all come up with no parts number for the slip yoke as a stock replacement part...because they all go through Kingsway..who doesn't have them

I am still confused, when I Google 4x4 shops in Ontario there seems to be 3 or 4 of them. It also says 4wheelparts.com has a store, and when I look for a driveshaft yoke they say it is available. The Jeep Dealership should be ordering from the Chrysler regional warehouse, not some jobber.

I went with the IRO hack&tap.

According to their write-up, this should fit your rig.

IRO Hack&Tap

When I did my '88 I had to order the seal flange, but not needed for your year.

I ended up getting the 'full meal deal' complete with driveline.

Hack&Tap w/ custom driveline

No complaints to date.

Working with cars is a little like a really awesome date: you start out expecting this to be something simple and straightforward; four hours later you're laying under her, panting and cursing, and things are a lot more complicated than you thought.

If none of your local parts stroes really can't get one, order it from ie. Denny's Driveshaft.
But as CJ7-Tim has mentioned, you should be able to find one just about anywhere. Heck, I live in Finland and it's a part available here from larger driveline shops or US car part stores.

The other problem which I have encountered before in Canada is that there is some BS trade agreement in place that prevents me from getting what I want because some company bought a parts supply house and as part of that agreement the previous owner can not supply here...but the new owner does not carry half the stuff.

I had to get a garage 100km away to order the part because no one here would do it,
Cost me $113 for the stock part and a 2 week wait from California....

As for the hack and tap with driveshaft, I've priced that out and to do that install it's over $2000 here in Canada to get everything. (Keep in mind that my $ is only worth 70 US and our shipping costs are retarded! Your $99 hnt turns into $289 here

Dear god.. I can get Jeep parts shipped from USA to Finland using 2-3 day guaranteed air mail way cheaper than that
Considering we have ~5% customs import tax + 25% sales tax for parts imported from the USA, it's amazing how expensive stuff can be in Canada.

Edit: I mean.. 2000$ for a hack 'n tap + driveshaft? What the hell? Parts from ie. Denny's Driveshaft for that setup is something like 400US$, and I could get those shipped to Finland in 5-6 days for ~70US$. Add 5% import tax. + 25% sales tax, and I'm at around 600US$.
How in the hell can it be over three times that to get the parts from the USA to Canada?!

Just a replacement slip yoke for your 242 is something like 30-40US$ if you order from ie. Denny's Driveshaft. Have you even asked how much is the shipping? 389 + 13% tax for a part like that is around three times of what it would cost here
