NP242 vs NP231

I have an NP242 TC and I can't find any sye's for it. My question is, what's the difference in the two? And am I going to have to replace my TC if i go any bigger than the 3.5" that I'm at right now?

RE for a Hack and Tap, and AA for a short shaft kit.

There are plenty of SYE's out there for the 231.

Look on www.Jeepinoutfitters.com
http://www.4xshaft.com/index.html

Or use the search function or Google

Thanks. But is there any difference in the 231 and the 242?

Yes, the SYE's are not interchangeable.
The 242 is a awd/fulltime t-case.

Your first post says you have a NP231, did you mean that you had a NP242?

There are SYEs for both, but the NP231 has a LOT more options for them. If this is for your 95 (and it has a NP231) then really you have the same amount of options but they are both expensive. For the price, you can't beat a HD 32spline SYE. PORC sells a decently priced kit, I installed that on my 93 and it went together nicely.

Yes, I did mean NP242. Must've had a brainfart.
