Is this normal??

I'm new to Jeeps, not new to cars, but I have a hvac question?

Anytime I turn on my heat or AC when the compressor engages it makes a weird "friction" type noise and vibrates. It also kicks on the Aux fan imediantly? I mean it could be ice cold outside and right when I fire it up if the compressor is engaged the aux fan comes on??

I checked the pulley and its tight (No wobble or anything) worried maybe a bearing? Its pissing me off as the dealership I bought it from told me its "Normal" but I dont really buy that cause nothing else I have ever owned has done this.. HELP!

Tighten the serp belt a tad more and check the condition of the belt. If it is cracked at all on the ribs, replace it but keep the old one as a spare.

Aux fan kicks on when the AC or Defrost (uses AC) kicks on.
